Exploiting new opportunities in a slower economy

Are you a manufacturer or an industrial service provider wanting to take advantage of new supply opportunities to major projects? Or feeling the effects of the downturn in demand and wanting to learn more about sustaining and growing your business in tough times?

Then you cannot afford to miss this free half-day workshop which will help you to re-assess your existing capabilities and help identify potential new markets for your business.

Half-day workshops will be run in March and April to assist businesses re-assess their existing capabilities and help identify potential new markets.

Participants will learn more about:

  • dealing with finance and improving cashflow
  • improving productivity
  • eco-efficiency savings 
  • developing and retaining your people
  • options for diversification.

The seminars are designed to focus on ways to reduce unit costs and connect with relevant state and federal initiatives, including the 'Strengthen your business today' workshops for small businesses and 'Tendering for Government Business' workshops, Enterprise Connect and AusIndustry programs.

The workshop will be followed by a special presentation on major projects and business opportunities linked with them. It will provide information, timelines and examples of typical work packages for projects both within and outside local regions suited to local capability, and potential opportunities linked to State and Federal stimulus and infrastructure packages.

All attendees are invited to the networking session which will follow the presentation.

Attendees will also receive a summary to take away including sources of advice and state and federal government support for manufacturers.
