New Queensland Government ICT strategies

On 9 September 2009 the Premier of Queensland launched two new strategies developed by the Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation (DEEDI) and the Department of Public Works (DPW), outlining how ICT can help deliver a stronger greener, smarter, healthier and fairer Queensland.

The two strategies will help build a strong local ICT industry as the engine room to support the growth and continued success of Queensland's businesses and economy, and drive better performance in service delivery and community outcomes.

ICT for tomorrow's Queensland
The Queensland Government's industry development strategy, ICT for tomorrow's Queensland, expands the scope of the Government's industry development support to reinforce the pervasive nature of ICT in our economy and our daily lives.

Toward Q2 through ICT
The Queensland Government ICT strategy, Toward Q2 through ICT, outlines the strategy for the government's use of technology to drive better service delivery for Queenslanders This strategy is available at the Queensland Government Chief Information Office website.
