Queensland Biotechnology Strategic Plan

The Queensland Government's Queensland biotechnology strategic plan 2005-2015: biotechnology-setting new horizons outlines measures to assist the industry reach its projected growth of achieving $4 billion in revenues and employing over 16,000 Queenslanders in an industry worth $20 billion by 2025.

Since 1998, the Queensland Government has invested over $700 million in the State's biotechnology industry to help establish initiatives such as the $7 million BioPharmaceuticals Australia scale-up manufacturing facility, the $5 million Queensland Clinical Trials Network and the $1.4 million Queensland Biotechnology Commercialisation Pipeline.
