AusBiotech 2007 National Biotechnology Conference Round-up

AusBiotech 2007 National Biotechnology Conference Round-up

The Queensland Government proudly hosted AusBiotech 2007, the leading life sciences conference for the Asia Pacific region, from 21-24 October 2007 at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. Almost 1400 delegates attended the event - 500 of which were international guests.

The joint Queensland Government / Queensland Clinical Trials Network trade display won Best State Stand at the conference.

Guests mingled at the Queensland biotechnology business networking function, where the Premier of Queensland outlined her vision for biotechnology in Queensland at the Gallery of Modern Art.  View images from the event.

The conference provided Queensland with an opportunity to showcase its biotechnology strengths. Follow a cheeky pair of jeans through an animation

Concurrently the Queensland Government and some of the State's leading research institutes organised three weeks of public events to increase awareness about biotechnology and its potential benefits.
