The TechClinics:

• bring together players in a particular company, sector or cluster with other members of their supply or value chain to address an identified opportunity or challenge in a carefully facilitated workhop
• identify pre-commercial opportunites or R&D projects by building relationships between stakeholders from the business, the research sector and the emerging technologies sector
• facilitate the uptake of technology through developing collaborative projects to increase business productivity and sustainable access to new and emerging markets.

There is a standard model for the delivery of forums and clinics:

• Companies are interviewed to identify issues which will direct the theme/s. These are then matched with available research and technology expertise who are seeking industry involvement.
• The program involves sharing of trends in research in specified areas, then opportunity for group discussion of issues and identification of actions to take forward.
• Feedback on the value of the forums and clinics is collected to identify outcomes and fine-tune future forums and clinics.
